Container Plant Color Combination

My mom is contemplating redecorating her office, and I have to say that I really like the colors she is planning on using (I might have suggested them…). She has a coral-ish couch, and she was thinking of adding in a bit of lime green and deep purple to the mix. I like it! I like it a lot! And I think it would look great on your balcony, my balcony, and pretty much everyone else’s balcony.

What I love about this combo is that it has a lot of zest while still looking sophisticated. Probably because they are all variations on secondary colors (green, orange, and purple).

Lime green zinnias, salmon-rose zinnias, and purple pole beans would make a very pretty addition to a container potager, don’t you think?!

Or for a bright shade/morning sun spot, why not try helichrysum’Limelight,’ Sunset Hyssop, and a purple huechera. Interestingly, huechera is pronounced “hoo-ker-uh.” Betcha would have never guessed that one!
